MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - RMU Pat Gallagher Men's Basketball Head Coach Andrew Toole has announced the team's 2025-26 schedule. The defending Horizon League champion Colonials will play 11 non-conference games highlighted by a home multi-team event (MTE) and road contests at Iowa, Drake, and St. Bonaventure.
 
"Every year we try as hard as we can to create a schedule that will prepare and test us for all we will face in Horizon League play," said Toole. "Creating this year's schedule was a little bit harder than it's been in the last couple of years, but I feel like we've accomplished that goal once again. We have great road tests and challenging home games that will hopefully excite our fan base to come out and get an early glimpse of the '25-'26 Robert Morris Colonials."
 
The Colonials open their 50th season of NCAA Division I men's basketball on November 4 at Iowa, facing the Hawkeyes for the first time since the 2005-06 season. RMU remains on the road to face reigning Missouri Valley Conference champion Drake on November 6. The Bulldogs are coming off a 31-win season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
The home opener is November 10 against Geneva, followed by Pitt Greensburg on November 13. RMU will also host UIC on November 26 and Toledo on December 13. The Colonials will host a multi-team event (MTE), the Urban-Bennett Invitational, welcoming Southern Utah on November 28 and Stetson on November 30.
 
The non-conference road slate also includes a November 20 trip to St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies won 22 games last season and earned a berth in the NIT. This marks the first matchup between the two squads since 2008-09. On November 23, the Colonials visit former Northeast Conference foe Monmouth for the 59th contest between the programs. On December 20, RMU makes the trek up Route 22 to face Saint Francis in the 94th meeting of the historic rivalry.
 
Horizon League play features a 20-game slate, with the Colonials facing each of their 10 league opponents once at home and once on the road.
 
RMU begins its sixth season in the conference on December 4 when it visits Green Bay. The Horizon League home opener at the UPMC Events Center is December 17 versus Youngstown State. The regular season wraps up at home against Cleveland State on February 28.
 
The 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin in early March, culminating with the championship game on Tuesday, March 10, at the Corteva Coliseum.
