MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Northeast Conference has announced its 2025 preseason poll. Robert Morris has been selected to tie for third place with LIU, according to the league's head coaches. The Colonials received one first-place vote. Defending champion Central Connecticut was predicted to finish first with five first-place votes, followed by Duquesne with two first-place votes. Wagner, Saint Francis, Mercyhurst, and Stonehill round out the fifth through eighth spots.
The league also released its 2025 Preseason All-Conference team. Representing Robert Morris are tight end
Chaz Middleton and kicker
Jayson Jenkins.
Middleton played in 11 games last year and hauled in a pair of touchdowns, while Jenkins is coming off a 2024 season where he was named All-NEC Second Team after setting career-highs with six field goals and 31 extra points for 49 points.
RMU opens its 2025 season on August 30 at West Virginia. The home opener is September 13 at Joe Walton Stadium.
