MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Robert Morris (0-2) is set to host West Liberty (0-2) for its 2025 home opener on September 13. Both teams will be searching for their first win of the season in the non-conference matchup under the lights at Joe Walton Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
 
 
WLU LATELY                 
West Liberty lost its 2025 home opener to Seton Hill, 42-21, in Week 2. Quarterback Kohl Meisman had 182 passing yards including a 65-yard touchdown strike to Trey Singleton. Jaedon Alston ran for 141 yards and two touchdowns. The Hilltoppers fell to Walsh 38-10 in its season opener.
 
THE SERIES                    
Saturday marks the first matchup between the two schools.
 
JUST KICKING IT           
In his first career game as a punter, Jayson Jenkins averaged 41.2 yards per kick and placed five balls inside the 20 at West Virginia. He also added a 36-yard field goal. For his efforts, he was named NEC Special Teams Co-Player of the Week on September 1. The following week, he was named NEC Special Teams Player of the Week after booting a career-best 46-yard field goal and averaging 42.2 yards per punt at Youngstown State.
 
PATRICK PERSISTENCE            
Patrick McDonnell was named a Week 1 NEC Prime Performer. The linebacker recorded a game-and career-high 12 tackles with a fumble recovery at WVU. He is currently 30th in the NCAA with 5.5 solo tackles per game.
 
RMU IN HOME OPENERS       
RMU is 18-12 all-time in home openers, which includes an 8-11 record at Joe Walton Stadium.
