YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The RMU volleyball team's five-match winning streak came to an end Tuesday night after falling to Youngstown State 3-0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-17).
Jocelyn Jourdan led RMU (6-8, 2-1 HL) with 10 kills and added nine digs. Kaitlyn Brown recorded 25 assists, and Jasmine Purakal had 16 digs.
RMU held off three set points in the first set before the Penguins won 25-21. YSU jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second set and went on to win 25-10. The third set started with four ties before a 6-2 run by the Penguins gave them a 10-6 advantage, which they maintained for the remainder of the set.
Up next, the Colonials host Oakland for their conference home opener on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 5.
