RMU Softball Unveils 2026 Schedule

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU softball program has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring a challenging non-conference slate, a full Horizon League schedule and 16 games at the North Athletic Complex as the Colonials prepare for the upcoming spring season.
 
RMU opens the season on the road with five games at the Winthrop Tournament from Feb. 13–15 in Rock Hill, S.C. The Colonials will face Kent State and Le Moyne on opening day before matching up with host Winthrop and additional bracket-play opponents over the weekend.
 
The Colonials continue their early-season road stretch Feb. 20–22 at the Spartan Classic/Sparkle City Invite, playing Morgan State twice along with matchups against Wofford, USC Upstate and Holy Cross.
 
March begins with the Catamount Classic (March 6-8) in Cullowhee, N.C., where RMU will face Ohio and Western Carolina twice and play Penn once.
 
The Colonials then make a short trip across the city for a midweek matchup at Pitt on March 11 before returning home for their home opener against Mercyhurst in a doubleheader on March 14 at the North Athletic Complex. The following day, the Colonials will play a doubleheader at Mercyhurst.
 
RMU hosts Kent State for a doubleheader on March 17, followed by its Horizon League home opener against Green Bay on March 20. The series continues with a doubleheader on March 21. League play continues with road series at Oakland (March 27–28) and then another non-conference doubleheader at Saint Francis on March 31.
 
April features a busy stretch of Horizon League competition, including a home series against Youngstown State on April 3–4 and a road series at Northern Kentucky on April 10–11. RMU also travels to Akron for a midweek doubleheader on April 14 before returning home for key league series against IU Indy (April 17–18).
 
The Colonials close the home schedule with midweek contests against Pitt (April 21) and Canisius (April 28).
 
The regular season concludes on the road with a Horizon League series at Detroit Mercy on May 1–2.
 
The top six teams in the conference will advance to the Horizon League Tournament, scheduled for May 6–9, with NCAA Regionals slated for May 14–17.
 
All home games are free to attend and will be played at the North Athletic Complex, with all times listed in Eastern Time.
