OAKLAND LATELY
Tuburu Naivalurua's tip-in with 14 seconds remaining gave Oakland an 85-83 win at Youngstown State on Jan. 1. Garrett Isaac and Brett White II combined for 49 points for the Golden Grizzlies.
RMU AND OAKLAND HISTORY
RMU and Oakland first met in 2001 at the Sewall Center. The teams played three more nonconference games before RMU joined the Horizon League. In Horizon League contests, Oakland leads the series 6-4 and 10-4 overall. The Colonials swept the 2024-25 season series with a 79-71 victory in Rochester Hills on January 4 and a 73-71 win at the UPMC Events Center on January 25 and added a third victory in the Horizon League semifinals.
