MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris (14-9, 6-6 HL) hits the road for a Saturday afternoon matinee when it travels to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum to face Purdue Fort Wayne (13-9, 7-4 HL). The matchup, which will stream live on ESPN+, is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tipoff. RMU LATELY
RMU has found rhythm by winning three of its last four games, most recently securing a dominant 74-58 victory over IU Indy on Jan. 28. During that win, the Colonials displayed high-level efficiency by shooting 50% from beyond the arc and recording a season-best +17 rebounding margin. The performance was anchored by
Ryan Prather Jr., who scored a game-high 20 points, and a defense that held the Jaguars to the lowest point total RMU has allowed in Horizon League play this season.
PURDUE FORT WAYNE LATELY
Purdue Fort Wayne has won five of its last six contests and looks to bounce back after a 74-65 home loss to Oakland on Jan. 28. In that defeat, the Mastodons knocked down 13 three-pointers but were hampered by a season-low seven free throw attempts and a -12 rebounding margin. Corey Hadnot II continued his standout campaign in the loss, pacing the offense with a 22-point performance while adding six rebounds and six assists.
RMU AND PURDUE FORT WAYNE HISTORY
In 12 matchups between the two teams, Purdue Fort Wayne holds a 7-5 advantage. Eight of those games have been decided by 10 points or less, including six decided by two possessions or fewer. Andy Toole and Jon Coffman have been the only head coaches on the sidelines for every game in the series history.
PFW holds a 5-2 record against the Colonials in Fort Wayne, though the only previous meeting at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum resulted in a narrow 82-77 loss for RMU last season. In their inaugural meeting on December 26, 2020, RMU scored 102 points, marking the most points ever recorded in a conference opener in program history.
RMU AND PURDUE FORT WAYNE LAST TIME OUT
