MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey team was unable to generate offense Friday night, dropping a 3-0 decision to Syracuse at Clearview Arena. With the loss, the Colonials move to 10-13-2 overall and 6-7-2 in Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) play.

FIRST PERIOD
Syracuse struck first just over four minutes into the contest, ending RMU's shutout streak that dated back to December 13 of 2025. The streak spanned 147 minutes and 45 seconds, ranking as the sixth-longest shutout stretch in program history.

The Orange continued to capitalize in the opening frame, scoring twice more over the next eight minutes, including a power-play goal, to take a 3-0 advantage into the first intermission.

SECOND PERIOD
The middle frame featured a tightly contested, defensive battle as neither team found the back of the net.

Both squads recorded six shots on goal and each won 10 faceoffs during the period, with RMU still trailing 3-0 after 40 minutes of play.

THIRD PERIOD
RMU pushed offensively in the final stanza, generating 22 shot attempts and applying consistent pressure in the offensive zone. Despite the surge, the Colonials were unable to solve the Syracuse netminder, as the score remained unchanged through the final horn.
