RMU Men’s Lacrosse Travels to Canisius

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Robert Morris will wrap up its Western New York road trip when they face Canisius tomorrow, Friday, February 20. The game is set to take place at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, N.Y., with the opening faceoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Fans can follow the action live through the Golden Griffins Broadcast Network stream.
 
RMU LATELY
The Colonials (1-3) fell 14-11 at St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon. Calum Brennan and Luis Gonzalez each scored twice while Ben Eck had a goal and a pair of assists.
Freshman Dylan Anderson was named both NEC Player and Freshman of the Week honors, as well as being named to the USILA Team of the Week, had a nine-point performance with four goals and five assists last week.
 
CANISIUS LATELY
The Golden Griffins enter Friday with a 0-2 record under first-year head coach Brendan Storrier. Canisius fell to Hobart 13-8 in the season opener and 10-8 at Mercyhurst on Tuesday.
 
RMU AND CANISIUS HISTORY
This marks the 19th meeting between the two programs with began in 2005, with Robert Morris holding an 11-7 advantage (6-3 in Buffalo). The Colonials have won four of the last five matches dating back to 2020. There have been three overtime matches and six that have been decided by two goals or fewer.
 
RMU AND CANISIUS LAST TIME
Calum Brennan's goal at 6:24 of the fourth quarter broke a 7-7 tie, and Kean Moon added an insurance goal with 3:48 remaining to secure RMU's 9-7 victory over Canisius on Feb. 22, 2025 at Joe Walton Stadium.
 
RMU VS. MAAC TEAMS     
The Colonials have historically been successful against tomorrow's opponent, Canisius, maintaining an 11–7 all-time record, and they hold a 5–1 advantage over Manhattan. RMU also possesses winning records against Siena (2–1), Mount St. Mary's (8–5), and Quinnipiac (3–2). While they trail slightly in their series against Sacred Heart (7–8), they have yet to compete against Marist, Merrimack, and Iona. Overall, RMU has earned a combined 36–24 record against these five MAAC programs.

Canisius and Robert Morris share five common opponents: Hobart, Mercyhurst, Le Moyne, Cleveland State, and St. Bonaventure.
