MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris hits the road for a critical late-season showdown against first-place Wright State this Sunday, February 22, at the Nutter Center. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. and will be broadcast to a national audience on ESPNU. This high-stakes Horizon League clash features two of the conference's hottest teams, as the Colonials look to extend their four-game winning streak and secure a regular-season sweep of the Raiders following their 72–66 victory in Moon Township earlier this month.
RMU LATELY
Robert Morris enters Sunday's matchup as one of the hottest teams in the Horizon League, with an 18–10 overall record and a 10–7 mark in conference play. The Colonials are currently on a four-game winning streak following a dominant 93–69 victory over Oakland last Sunday. In that contest, RMU tied a season-high with 93 points and recorded 31 assists—the second-most in program history—while shooting 57.6% from the field. Over their last nine games, the Colonials have secured seven victories.
WRIGHT STATE LATELY
Wright State enters Sunday's matchup with an 18–10 overall record and a 13–4 mark in Horizon League play, currently sitting at the top of the conference standings. The Raiders secured a home game for the upcoming Horizon League tournament following an 85–73 victory over IU Indy on Thursday night. TJ Burch led the charge with 23 points, marking his second consecutive game reaching that total, as he spearheaded a group of four Raiders scoring in double figures.
RMU AND WRIGHT STATE HISTORY
The all-time series between RMU and Wright State dates back to 1978, beginning with a home-and-home sweep by the Raiders at the WSU Physical Education Building and the John Jay Center. After a 43-year hiatus, the rivalry resumed in 2021 upon RMU's entry into the Horizon League. Wright State holds a 10–4 advantage in the overall series, which includes a 6–1 record in Dayton and a 5–1 mark at the Nutter Center.
