MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey team will close out the regular season with a four-game homestand at Clearview Arena, beginning with a two-game Atlantic Hockey America series against Delaware. The series opener is set for Friday, February 6 at 3:00 PM, followed by the finale on Saturday, February 7, also at 3:00 PM.
Both contests will stream live on FloHockey, while Friday's matchup will also air on SportsNet Pittsburgh. Gero von Dehn and Bob Kennedy will be on the call Friday, with von Dehn joined by Matt Simkovic on Saturday.
RMU LATELY
RMU (10-18-2, 6-12-2 AHA) looks to bounce back after a weekend road series at No. 4 Penn State. The Colonials took part in the program's historic first-ever outdoor game at Beaver Stadium before netting two goals in the series finale.

With her assist last weekend, MacKinnon became the first Colonial since the 2023-24 season to reach the 30-point mark in a single campaign. The Clarks Harbour, Nova Scotia native leads RMU in goals (13), assists (17) and points (30), while also owning a team-high two game-winning goals and a +12 plus/minus rating.
MacKinnon continues to pace the nation in the faceoff circle with 419 wins, making her the only player in the country to surpass 400 faceoff victories this season.
MILESTONE WATCH
Junior defenseman
Kaitlyn Schooley is slated to skate in her 100th career game on Saturday. This season, Schooley has recorded five assists and earned Atlantic Hockey America Defensive Player of the Week honors once. Over her 98-game career, she has totaled one goal, 18 assists and 19 points from the blue line.
ALL-TIME VS. DELAWARE
The upcoming series marks the second-ever meeting between RMU and Delaware. In the first matchup earlier this season, the Colonials earned a pair of 5-0 victories, with goaltenders
Maggie Hatch and
Lucy Phillips each posting shutouts.
Offensively, RMU's top line of MacKinnon (3g, 3a),
Alaina Giampietro (2g, 2a) and
Morgan Giannone (2g, 2a) all produced multipoint weekends. Storey added one goal and two assists, while defensemen Schooley (3a) and
Thalia D'Elia (1g, 1a) contributed in both games. MacKinnon and Schooley were each recognized with weekly conference honors following the series.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS
Delaware (2-28, 1-21 AHA) is in its inaugural season at the Division I level and enters the weekend on a 15-game skid. The Blue Hens' first conference victory came against Lindenwood on November 14.
Through 30 games, forwards Kaitlin Finnegan and Katelynn Charlton share the team lead with 10 points, while Finnegan also paces the squad with seven goals. Five different players have recorded at least five assists. On the defensive side, freshman Lexie Lonask leads the conference in blocked shots with 129.
In goal, Delaware has split time between Charlotte Payne and Mattie Robtizer. Payne has recorded both wins this season, posting a .915 save percentage and a 3.78 goals-against average.
As a team, the Blue Hens are averaging 1.0 goals per game while allowing 4.3. Their power play is operating at 9.3%, while the penalty-kill sits at 76.1%. Delaware is winning 40.5% of its faceoffs.
PLAYOFF OUTLOOK
RMU currently sits sixth in the Atlantic Hockey America standings with 21 conference points, trailing Syracuse (28), RIT (29) and Lindenwood (30). With four games remaining, the Colonials remain in contention to climb as high as third in the league standings.
In the postseason format, the sixth seed will face the seventh seed, with the matchup hosted by the third seed. The winner will advance to play the No. 3 seed, while the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed in the quarterfinal round.

RMU will conclude the regular season with a two-game series against Lindenwood at Clearview Arena. Game one is scheduled for Friday, February 13 at 7:00 PM, followed by game two on Saturday, February 14 at 1:00 PM. Both games will stream live on SportsNet Pittsburgh and FloHockey.
