MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Robert Morris swept the Horizon League Men's Basketball weekly awards, with DeSean Goode named Player of the Week and Darius Livingston earning Freshman of the Week honors.
 
The duo led the Colonials to a pair of victories last week  - a 72-66 win over first place Wright State on Feb. 4 and a road win at Youngstown State on Feb. 7, also by the score of 72-66.
 
Goode put together a pair of impressive performances, averaging 20 points and seven rebounds per game. He shot 69.6% from the floor and 71.4% from beyond the arc, while also contributing on the defensive end with 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per outing.
 
The week began with a 16-point, 7-rebound showing in a nationally televised win over Wright State, where he tied season highs with two blocks and two steals. He delivered in crunch time against the Raiders, hitting a clutch 3-pointer with 1:16 remaining to provide a two-possession cushion before sealing the game with two rebounds and a steal in the final 25 seconds.
 
He followed that performance with a season-best display in a comeback win at Youngstown State, racking up 24 points and seven rebounds on 9-of-11 shooting. Beyond tying season highs for field goals and three-pointers against the Penguins, he once again took over the closing moments, scoring five points in the last minute and hauling in a pivotal rebound and converting two free throws with just five seconds left to anchor the victory.
 
Livingston was a vital spark for RMU last week, averaging 14.0 points and three rebounds per game across the two crucial victories. He connected on 46.7% of his attempts from beyond the arc over the two-game stretch.
 
In the Colonials' win over Wright State, Livingston fell just one point shy of his career-high, finishing with 16 points on 54.5% shooting from the field and 4-of-8 performance from deep. He carried that momentum into the road win at Youngstown State, contributing 12 points—including nine in the first half alone—and knocking down three triples to help secure the come-from-behind victory.
 
Robert Morris (16-10, 8-7 HL) continues its Ohio road trip with a visit to Cleveland State (10-15, 6-8 HL) on Thursday, February 12. RMU then returns home to the UPMC Events Center for a clash against Oakland on Sunday, February 15. The three-game stretch concludes with a rematch on the road at Wright State on Sunday, February 22.
