INDIANAPOLIS — Robert Morris tied for seventh place with a final score of 865 at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational. The Colonials showed steady improvement throughout the event, starting with a 294 before improving to 288 in the second round and closing with a strong 283. This performance positioned them alongside Evansville, just behind IU Indy and ahead of Detroit Mercy.
Chase Bokker led RMU, finishing 26th overall in a field of 96 with a final score of 215 (+5). Bokker improved each round, culminating in an even-par 70 during the final round.
Ben Sheridan followed closely, tying for 32nd with a total score of 216 (+6); his tournament was highlighted by a remarkable second round where he shot a 68 (-2) fueled by five birdies.
Chuck Tragesser made a notable comeback in the third round, also carding five birdies to shoot a 68 (-2). This marked his best round of the tournament and moved him into a tie for 53rd with a total score of 219 (+9). Additionally,
Ben Skripac, competing as an independent, provided a final-round highlight by sinking an eagle on the 3rd hole.
