While the team is 2-3 at Saxon Stadium this year, they have struggled defensively, surrendering a conference-high 183 goals so far. Offensively, the Lakers are led by Colin Tardif, who paces the roster with 18 goals and 23 total points.

The RMU defense was anchored by Fechter, who turned away seven shots to secure the conference win.
