MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The RMU women's hockey program has officially added four transfers to its roster ahead of the 2025-26 season, welcoming Bridget Stevenson, Greta Brezenski, Lucy Thiessen, and Caroline Aufiero.
In the ever-changing landscape of collegiate recruiting, the Colonials continue to prioritize impactful additions through the transfer portal—following the success of last season's incoming group, including
Jessica MacKinnon,
Taylor Storey,
Rowyn Ringor and
Ellie Marcovsky.
With a clear vision in mind, RMU's staff approached this year's portal class with intention—focusing not only on hockey ability, but on identifying players who align with the program's culture, standards, and long-term goals.
"We're incredibly excited to welcome these four players into our program," said Head Coach
Logan Bittle. "Each of them brings something different to our roster, but more importantly, they're outstanding people who fit exactly what we're building here at Robert Morris. Our staff does a great job of really getting to know players throughout the process, and that allows us to identify people who are going to make an impact well beyond just what they do on the ice. When you find that kind of fit, you know it—and that's exactly what we have with this group."
Bridget Stevenson | Senior | Forward | Clarkson University
A senior forward with valuable collegiate experience, Stevenson brings immediate depth and presence to the Colonials' lineup. Known for her physical style of play and dynamic hockey IQ, she competes hard in all areas of the ice and can impact the game in multiple ways.
Her experience at the NCAA level, combined with her willingness to play a heavy, consistent game, makes her a strong addition to RMU's forward group.
"I chose Robert Morris because of its commitment to building a competitive and evolving program, and I believe the team's trajectory aligns perfectly with my goals as a player," said Stevenson. "I felt the combination of talent, environment and great team culture. I can't wait to take the valuable things I have learned about myself and the game and bring it to RMU! As it is my last year, I am looking to make an impact on and off the ice and cannot wait to begin to work with the coaching staff and players!"
Greta Brezenski | Junior | Forward | Clarkson University
Brezenski arrives as an incoming junior forward with significant upside and the potential to make an immediate impact. After spending her first couple seasons at Clarkson, she now steps into an opportunity at RMU where her skillset can truly shine.
With an elite hockey IQ, a high-end shot, and a natural ability to create offense, Greta brings a dynamic element to the Colonials' lineup. Her compete level and intensity are expected to raise the standard daily and translate directly into game situations.
"What excites me most about my next chapter at RMU is being part of a program that values me not just as a player, but as a person, helping me grow on and off the ice," said Brezenski. "It's clear how special the program is through the way current players speak about their experiences and their journey to reach their full potential. RMU has a strong reputation for helping overlooked players rediscover their spark. I was looking for a place that values everything I bring, shares a strong desire to win, and allows me to be part of something bigger than myself. I'm incredibly grateful to join such a great team, school and community, and I will give Bobby Mo all I've got to make these next two years of my career unforgettable!"
Lucy Thiessen | Sophomore | Defense | Boston University
A sophomore defenseman with strong skating ability, Thiessen adds speed and offensive instinct to RMU's blue line. Not afraid to jump into the rush, she plays a modern, aggressive style that aligns with the Colonials' evolving defensive identity.
Lucy's ability to move pucks efficiently, combined with her willingness to push the pace, will bring a new layer of intensity and versatility to the back end.
"I'm very excited to join RMU because of the opportunity to compete in a high-level environment, be developed by coaches who are invested in every part of their players' games and be part of a program with a clear vision for success," stated Thiessen. "At the same time, what really separated RMU for me was the culture. In today's college hockey world, so much can feel transactional, but RMU stood out because of the genuine sense of family within the program. I could tell right away that the coaches truly care about the development and well-being of every person on the roster, and that kind of environment is something you can't fake."
Caroline Aufiero | Junior | Defense | Clarkson University
Aufiero joins RMU as an incoming junior defenseman who brings stability, consistency, and depth to the Colonials' blue line. A reliable presence in all situations, she plays a composed, steady game and provides a strong foundation defensively.
Her experience and understanding of the game will be key in strengthening RMU's defensive core and supporting the program's continued growth.
"What excites me most about joining this program is the opportunity to learn and embrace the RMU culture both on and off the ice," stated Aufiero. "I'm looking forward to being part of a program that believes in me and working with my new coaches to help me reach my full potential. I am also very excited to meet and get to know my new teammates while reconnecting with former teammates. I'm eager to get on campus and get going!"
With the addition of these four transfers, RMU continues to build a roster defined by competitiveness, character, and commitment. As the Colonials prepare for the 2026-27 season, this group adds valuable experience and reinforces the culture that continues to drive the program forward.
