INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – RMU women's soccer forward Madison Sievering was named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
 
Sievering was a key factor in leading the Colonials to their first victory of the season, a 3-1 win at Canisius.
 
The senior forward recorded an assist on the game-winning goal before scoring her first goal of the season in the 86th minute to secure the victory.
 
The performance marked Sievering's fourth career multipoint game and the 10th goal of her career. It also marked her second career weekly honor, as she was previously named NEC Player/Rookie of the Week three years ago.
 
Up next, RMU returns home for a four-game homestand, beginning with its home opener Thursday, August 27 against Mercyhurst. Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM, with the match streaming live on ESPN+.
