MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's soccer team continues its non-conference schedule on the road, traveling north to Olean, N.Y., to take on St. Bonaventure this Friday, September 4 at 6:00 PM. Friday night's match will stream live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
RMU (2-1-1) is coming off a 1-1 draw against crosstown rival Duquesne. In the match,

Nicholas Samways on his first career goal, the game-tying tally in the second half. Senior goalkeeper
Josh Lane also made a brilliant save in the second half to keep the match tied.
The Colonials are currently riding a three-match unbeaten streak. Through four games this season, Cotton leads RMU in points with one goal and one assist. Freshman midfielder
Joaquin Fazal has recorded a team-high nine shots, while junior defender
Abdul Kamara has played all 360 minutes this season.
ALL-TIME VS. ST. BONAVENTURE
In five meetings, RMU is 1-2-2 against the Bonnies. Last year's meeting was canceled due to weather, with the most recent matchup coming in 2024. After hitting the post three times,
Anass Hadran finally found the back of the net with a penalty-kick goal in the 82nd minute to tie the match. St. Bonaventure, however, found a way to win, scoring in the 87th minute.
In 2023, the two sides played to a 1-1 draw, with former RMU captain
Gabe Norris scoring the Colonials' lone goal. RMU's only win against the Bonnies came in 2016, when the Colonials earned a 1-0 victory in New York.
SCOUTING THE BONNIES
St. Bonaventure (1-1-1) is coming off a 0-0 draw against Le Moyne. The Bonnies previously fell 1-0 to No. 23 West Virginia before defeating Niagara, 2-0, in their season opener.
Through three matches, Kyle Macfarlane and Jack Steel have each scored a goal, while Danile Helle and Josh Seyer each have one assist.
Last season, the Bonnies finished with a 3-9-3 overall record and went 1-5-2 in Atlantic 10 play. Their three wins came against Saint Francis, Canisius and George Washington. St. Bonaventure returns Macfarlane, who was the team's second-leading goal scorer last season with four goals and two assists.
COMMON OPPONENTS
RMU has already faced Duquesne and Canisius this season, both of whom are also on St. Bonaventure's schedule. The Colonials and Bonnies will also both face Cleveland State during the 2026 campaign.
