RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (4/29/09)

Tabbed the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week is senior Melanie Ice of the women's golf squad. Named the 2007-08 women's golf MVP at the 15th annual All-Sports Banquet just a week earlier, Ice became the second individual in Colonial women's golf history to earn All-Northeast Conference honors when she placed seventh individually at the 2009 NEC Championships at Hershey Links Golf Club in Hershey, Pa., April 24 through 26, 2009. Ice posted a three-round total of 236, including a team-best score of 77 in the first day of the championships. As a team Robert Morris finished fourth at the 2009 NEC Championships. Ice is a native of Beaver Falls, Pa., and is a hospitality and tourism management major.
