RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (9/2/09)

Earning the inaugural RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor for the 2009-10 academic year is junior middle blocker Amanda Graham of the Colonial volleyball squad. Graham was named to the 2009 Duquesne / Robert Morris Invitational All-Tournament Team after leading RMU to a record of 3-1 in the tourney, collecting 47 kills, 17 blocks and a .408 hitting percentage, which paced the Colonials. For those efforts Graham was named the first Northeast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the 2009 season. Among her exploits over the weekend were a career-high tying 20 kills and a .545 hitting percentage in a 3-1 victory over Radford (8/29/09) at the Charles L. Sewall Center. A native of Melbourne, Fla., Graham is a nuclear medicine technology major and was named an ESPN The Magazine District II Academic All-American in 2008.
