RMU Transfer Policies for Current Student-Athletes


STUDENT-ATHLETE AT RMU REQUESTS PERMISSION TO CONTACT ANOTHER INSTITUTION

  • Current student-athletes at RMU should speak to their respective head coach regarding their interest in transferring to another institution before contacting the Office of Athletic compliance
  • If the coach approves the request, said coach should notify the Office of Athletic Compliance of their approval, and to which schools a permission to speak letter should be sent.
  • If the coach denies the request, the student-athlete should complete the transfer "Request for Hearing" form found on the Student-Athlete All Forms page of this website, and return it to the Office of Athletic Compliance for review. The Office of Athletic Compliance will then commence appeal hearing procedures (see "Transfer Hearing Procedures" document) and notify the student-athlete of all future proceedings.
  • If a final approval is received from either coach or appeal committee, the Office of Athletic Compliance will send a letter to the AD at each approved institution granting permission for that institution to contact the student-athlete.
