Earning the second straight Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the ice hockey team is freshman goaltender Jessica Dodds. A native of London, Ontario, Dodds blanked nationally-ranked Boston University with 21 saves in a 3-0 victory at the RMU Island Sports Center Saturday night. The win helped the Colonials earn a split in the series as well as continue the impressive start to Dodds’ collegiate career. In three games between the pipes, Dodds has compiled a perfect 3-0 record, a .970 save percentage and an 0.65 goals against average. Thanks to her performance against Boston U., Dodds was tabbed the College Hockey America (CHA) Rookie of the Week (10/21).
