Named the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 22, 2017, is senior forward Spencer Dorowicz of the hockey team. In a weekend sweep of American International at Colonials Arena at the RMU Sports Center, Dorowicz registered three goals on six shots to propel the Colonials. He produced a game-winning goal against the Yellow Jackets in a 3-1 victory to open the series and also scored the final goal in a 4-0 win the complete the sweep. Dorowicz, a native of Olds, Alberta, posted a +2 and recorded a .528 mark in the faceoff circle in the series. Thanks to his performance, Dorowicz was tabbed the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week (11/20/17). In 13 games, Dorowicz has compiled six goals and five assists for 11 points. He has claimed two Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honors in 2017-18.
