Freshman forward Lexi Templeman of the hockey team is the recipient of the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 13, 2017. In a 3-3 tie @ Colgate (12/9/17) that wrapped up the 2017 portion of RMU’s slate, Templeman notched a goal and an assist. She opened the scoring in the game by lighting the lamp at 16:21 in the first period. In the third period, Templeman, a native of Staffa, Ontario, assisted on Natalie Fraser’s goal at the 14:14 mark of the third period that secured a point for Robert Morris. For her efforts, Templman was selected as the College Hockey America (CHA) Rookie of the Week (12/11/17) as well as CHA Rookie of the Month. In 17 games so far in 2017-18, the rookie has compiled 13 points on six goals and seven assists.Â
