Freshman Hanne Claus of the track & field team is one of two student-athletes to be named the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Jan. 31, 2018. At the SPIRE Institute Midwest Indoor Open last weekend, Claus posted a time of 7.84 in the 60-meter dash, establishing a new school record in the event. She finished sixth in the event at SPIRE and now owns three of the top 10 times in school history in the event. Claus was also part of RMU’s 4x400-meter relay team that posted a time of 3:55.17 to claim first place.
