Garnering her third Peoples Natural Gas RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2018-19 season but her first since November is sophomore defender Emily Curlett of the hockey team. In a home sweep of RIT this past weekend at the RMU Island Sports Center, Curlett scored three goals. She scored at the 8:46 mark of the third period in the first game of the series to help push Robert Morris on top, 2-1, en route to a 3-1 victory. The next afternoon, Curlett, a native of Lapeer, Mich., lit the lamp twice in a 2-0 win. She scored a power-play goal at 19:45 of the second period to open the scoring, then added her eighth goal of the season in the third period. In 26 games for RMU in 2018-19, Curlett has tallied 15 points courtesy of eight goals and seven assists.
