Sophomore linebacker Aniello Buzzacco of the football team is the recipient of the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 2, 2019. Buzzacco, a native of North Lima, Ohio, registered his second consecutive double-digit tackle effort as Robert Morris concluded the non-conference portion of its 2019 schedule @ Youngstown State (9/28) with a game-high 11 takedowns. Of his 11 stops, nine were of the solo variety, and he also notched his first career interception in the third quarter. He returned the pick 22 yards to set up the RMU offense at the 25-yard line of the Penguins. The Colonials put points on the board courtesy of the takeaway with a 36-yard field goal from Nick Bisceglia. On the 2019 season, Buzzacco leads the Colonials with 43 tackles, including 22 solo takedowns. He ranks fourth in the Northeast Conference with an average of 8.6 tackles per contest.
