Taking home her second consecutive Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week is senior guard Esther Castedo of the hoops squad. In a pair of home victories last week at the UPMC Events Center, Castedo, a native of Lugo, Spain, averaged 17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals while shooting 54.2 percent (13-for-24) from the floor. She was also true on each of her five attempts at the free-throw line. Castedo scored 17 points each in victories over Oakland (1/28/22) and Detroit Mercy (1/30/22) and in the win over the Golden Grizzlies dished out a season-high seven assists. Castedo, a management major, has maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.86.
