Earning his third Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2022 fall campaign is sophomore Skyler Vavro of the cross country team. At the 2022 Horizon League Championships last weekend in Rochester, Mich., Vavro navigated the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:26.7 to finish 13th individually. In addition to establishing a personal best, Vavro earned 2022 All-Horizon League Second Team accolades for his performance. Vavro, a native of Butler, Pa., is the first student-athlete for the Colonials to earn postseason honors since Mac Byrne-Houser and Ryan Hertzog each garnered All-Northeast Conference (NEC) honors in 2013. Incidentally, the time for Vavro for at the Horizon League Championships ranks second in program history, trailing only the time of 25:25.68 established by Byrne-Houser at the Furman Invitational in Greenville, S.C., Sept. 14, 2013.
