Senior guard Michael Green III is the first recipient of the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for 2023. In a two-game set last week with one game on the road and another at home, Green averaged 8.0 points and 7.0 assists while shooting 71.4 percent (5-for-7) from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 at the charity stripe. Green III, a native of the Bronx, N.Y., posted his first double-double with the Colonials and second of his NCAA Division I career in a 77-70 triumph over IUPUI (1/9/23) at the UPMC Events Center with 12 points and a career-high 11 assists. In the first half of the win over the Jaguars, Green III handed out eight dimes without a turnover as the Colonials grabbed a 44-29 edge at the break. Overall during the 2022-23 season, Green III is averaging 7.1 points and 5.2 assists per contest. He ranks second in the Horizon League in assists per game and third in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.23). By the way, Happy Birthday MGIII!
