Field Hockey Drops NEC Opener to Lock Haven

Box Score The Robert Morris University field hockey team was defeated, 7-0, Sunday afternoon when they traveled to Lock Haven (8-3, 2-0 NEC). The loss dropped the Colonials to, 2-7 overall and 0-1 in conference action.

Blair Wynne scored two goals and had one helper for Lock Haven, while Sarah Huber, Suzann Hobart, Mary Keister, Jill Houtz and Meghan Spittal all recorded one goal. Abigail Cerrone and Amanda Hordendorf each tallied one assist.

Junior midfielder Jessica Hammaker (Enola, Pa. / East Pennsboro) and sophomore forward Sam Lawless (St. Louis, Mo. / Lafayette) each tallied one shot.

The Colonials return to action Friday, October 6, when they travel to Loretto, Pa. to take on Saint Francis, Pa. at 7:00 p.m. RMU returns home, October 8, to take on Sacred Heart, at Joe Walton Stadium. The match is scheduled to start at Noon.
