Women's Ice Hockey Falls To Clarkson 1-0

Box Score Potsdam, N.Y. - The Robert Morris University women's ice hockey team fell to a tough Clarkson University team 1-0 on Friday afternoon in Potsdam, N.Y. Sophomore Brianne McLaughlin (Sheffield Village, Oh. / Ohio Flames) made 35 saves in goal for the game.

The Colonials (4-6-1) played a hard fought game against a Golden Knights team that beat them 6-0 less than a year ago.

Clarkson's Ashley Shaidle scored the only goal of the game on a five-on-three power-play opportunity 16:47 into the first period.

Robert Morris was out shot in the game 36-16 and went 0-6 on the power-play.

RMU will match-up again with the Golden Knights on Saturday November 11 for the second game of the series at the Cheel Arena with game time scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
