Hamden, Conn. ? The Robert Morris University field hockey team fell, 2-0, Friday afternoon to Quinnipiac (2-12 / 1-3 NEC). The loss drops the Colonials to 3-11 overall, including a 0-5 mark in Northeast Conference action.

The Colonials and Bobcats played to a, 0-0 tie in the first half, with Quinnipiac outshooting RMU 8-2. Megan Dahle scored just 7:39 into the second half giving Quinnipiac a, 1-0, advantage. Megan McCreedy added a second goal for Quinnipiac, while Dahle picked up an assist on the goal, just 1:13 before the final buzzer.

Senior goalkeeper Kate Dunlap (Centerport, Pa. / Schuylkill Valley) made eight saves on 10 shots, while Jenna Grossman picked up the shutout stopping two RMU shots.

The Colonials return to action Sunday, October 14 as they travel to Fairfield for a Noon match.
