Box Score Towson, Md. ? The Robert Morris University field hockey team fell to Towson, 4-0, Friday afternoon. With the loss the Colonials fall to, 2-6, on the season.
Tiffany Moyer opened the scoring for Towson just 9:47 into the match. The Colonials kept Towson off the board for the remainder of the first half, but Towson put three goals on the board in the second half. Kajee Murangi scored 2:24 into the second half on a breakaway, Angie Brewer picked up the assist on the play. Christina Boarman and Tiffany Moyer netted the other two goals for Towson, giving them a 4-0 victory.
The Colonials were out shot, 28-4 and trailed in penalty corners, 16-3.
Senior goalkeeper Kate Dunlap (Centerport, Pa. / Schuylkill Valley) stopped 14-of-18 shots Towson threw at her.
The Colonials return to action Saturday, October 6 as they take on Bellarmine at Greensburg, Pa.
