Sophomore Brianne McLaughlin (Sheffield Village, Oh. / Ohio Flames) picked up her second win in as many days and her third shut-out of the season, making 20 saves on the afternoon.
The Colonials played a near-perfect game today controlling every aspect of the contest. Robert Morris out-shot the home team 42-20 while holding them to a 0-5 stat on the power-play and a doughnut on the scoreboard.
The only confrontation RMU experienced on the afternoon came in the third period when the team was forced to kill off a five-on-three opportunity in the final two minutes.
Robert Morris heads to Erie, Pa. this weekend for a rematch against the # 1 ranked and College Hockey America foe Mercyhurst on February 9 / 10. The two-game series is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. on Friday and 2:00 p.m. start on Saturday.
