Moon Township, Pa. ? The Robert Morris University field hockey team fell to Northeast Conference opponent Rider, 1-0, Friday afternoon at Joe Walton Stadium. The loss dropped the Colonials to, 2-8 on the season and to 0-3 in NEC action.

Lindsay Rajeski picked up the only goal just 19:16 into the game, scoring off a pass from Stephanie Walker.

Rider outshot the Colonials, 7-6, including, 5-1, in the first half. Robert Morris however held a large advantage in penalty corners, 10-1.

Senior goalkeeper Kate Dunlap (Centerport, Pa. / Schuylkill Valley) stopped 4-of-5 shots that she faced, while Rider goalkeeper Jennifer LoCastro picked up six saves on her way to recording her first shutout of the season.

The Colonials are next in action Sunday, Sept. 30., as they host Monmouth at Noon.
