Box Score

Lawrenceville, N.J. - On Sunday afternoon, the Robert Morris University field hockey team continued in NEC play as they traveled to take on Rider University.  The Colonials had a difficult time keeping up with the Broncs as they were shutout, 3-0.

Rider, currently 4-0 in NEC play, scored 12 minutes into the contest when senior Diana Celebre tallied her tenth goal of the season off an assist from Tricia Crotty to make the score 1-0.

Fifteen minutes later, the Broncs took a two goal lead when sophomore Amanda Baretta netted a shot off of a rebound in front of the cage before the end of the first period.

Freshman Virginia Egusquiza converted on a penalty stroke with 13 minutes remaining in the game for the final score to seal Rider's 3-0 victory.

The Colonials held a 10-9 advantage on penalty corners, but only managed to put two shots on goal.  Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) made six saves for Robert Morris.

Robert Morris will continue on the road Friday, October 24, when they will travel to the University of Louisville, the alma mater of head coach Olivia Netzler.  The Cardinals and Colonials are set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
