Moon Township, Pa. - The Robert Morris University women's tennis team concluded its 2009 fall season Sunday afternoon by dropping a 6-1 decision to Loyola (Md.) at the North Athletic Complex. The Colonials fall to 2-3 overall on the 2009-10 campaign with the loss.

RMU's lone victory of the match came at the No. 2 singles flight, as freshman Samantha Alves (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil / Rio De Janeiro) posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Kerri Swan. Thanks to the win, Alves improved to 6-2 overall on the 2009-10 campaign, including a perfect 5-0 in dual match play.

Robert Morris will open its 2010 spring campaign by hosting Wright State Saturday, Jan. 30, for a 4:00 p.m. match.
