Hamden, Conn. / QU Soccer Field-The Robert Morris University men's soccer team played 110 minutes against Quinnipiac Friday afternoon, but neither team could find the back of the net in a 0-0 tie in the teams Northeast Conference opener. The Colonials record moves to 0-9-1 overall and 0-0-1 in conference play. Quinnipiac is now 3-0-5 and 0-0-1 in the NEC.
Freshman goalkeeper Toba Bolaji (Vaughn, Ontario / Maple) returned to Robert Morris' lineup for the first time since being injured in the team's second game of the season. Bolaji finished with six saves, recording his first career shutout.
Frederick Hall matched Bolaji's save number for the Bobcats. An even game saw the Colonials register 22 shots, one shy of the Bobcats 23.
The Colonials continue a Connecticut road swing, taking on Central Connecticut State in a 1:00 p.m. game Sunday, October 4.
