Monmouth rebounded back seven minutes later with Katelyn Buckley's goal scored off of a rebound to tie the game at one all.

For the remainder of regulation, the score stayed tied at one with the Colonials holding the edge on shots, 17-12 .  The teams then headed into a 15 minute overtime period.

Only six minutes into the sudden death overtime, Monmouth's Ena Mazza took a rebound past RMU goalie Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) and into the back of the cage.  The game winning goal was Mazza's fifth score of the 2009 season.
