Crow Leads Robert Morris Past Georgetown in OT

Box Score

Washington, D.C. - The Robert Morris University field hockey team traveled to the nation's capital on Sunday afternoon to take on the Georgetown Hoyas at American University.  Sophomore Chantele Crow (Dauphin, Pa. / Central Dauphin) scored her first two goals of the season to push the Colonials past Georgetown, 2-1 in overtime.

The Colonials were first to get on the board late in the second half as Crow scored unassisted at the 61:16 mark of the contest.  However, the Robert Morris lead would be short lived as Georgetown tied the game at one all just four minutes later.

With the score tied at one at the end of regulation, the game continued into a ten-minute overtime period.  Just over two minutes into overtime, Crow shot to the back left corner of the cage to notch an unassisted game winner.

In the Colonial's first victory of the 2009 season, goalkeeper Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) made four saves and allowed one score in over 70 minutes of action.

Robert Morris (1-4-0 ; 0-0-0 NEC) will match up against Appalachian State on Friday, Sept. 25 in Boone, NC in a rare night game that is set for a 7:00 p.m.start.
