Box Score Radford, Va. - The Robert Morris University field hockey team continued their southern road trip at Radford University on Sunday afternoon as they took on the Highlanders. The powerful Radford offense proved difficult for the Colonials to overcome as they were shut out, 5-0.
The Highlanders put two scores past RMU goalkeeper, Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) in the first ten minutes of action. In the second half, the Radford scoring attack continued as they tacked on another three goals in an eight minute time span.
Robert Morris put three shots on goal and had three penalty corners. Seeley made fives saves and allowed five goals in 61 minutes of action. Freshman goalie Paige Neat (Louisville, Ky. / Christian Academy) saw the remaining nine minutes of play late in the contest.
Sophomore Hayley Botha (Johannesburg, South Africa / St. Mary's) and freshman Kylie McKain (Elizabethtown, Pa. / Elizabethtown) each recorded a defensive save.
The Colonials (1-6-0) will return home to host their NEC Opener against Bryant on Friday, Oct. 2. The contest will take place at Joe Walton Stadium at 1:00 p.m.
