Robert Morris Drops NEC Opener to Rider, 6-0

Box Score MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Robert Morris University field hockey team dropped its Northeast Conference opener to Rider, 6-0.

Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) recorded a season best 22 saves for the Colonials but it was not enough to stop the Broncs. Catherine Myrick (Twin Valley, Pa. / Twin Valley) posted a pair of saves to extend her NCAA leading mark.

Megan Pisani scored 52 seconds into the game to give Rider the early lead. The Broncs added three additional first half goals to give Rider a 4-0 half time lead. Rider picked up two more goals in the second half including a second from Pisani.

Robert Morris will be back in action Tuesday when Bellarmine travels to Joe Walton Stadium at 1:00 p.m.
