Robert Morris Falls to Conference Rival Bryant

Box Score SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Robert Morris University field hockey team fell to Northeast Conference leader Bryant Sunday, 4-1.

After trailing 3-0 at halftime, Chantele Crow (Dauphin, Pa. / Central Dauphin) scored 1:13 seconds into the second half off a penalty corner with Julie Gabriel (Kraainem, Belgium / Lycee Emil Jacqmain) and Hayley Botha (Johannesburg, South Africa / St. Mary's) picking up assists. Olivia Jankins scored twice in the first half for Bryant and Mallory Hancok also scored twice, once late in the first half and once at 56:37 of the second half, to keep Bryant unbeaten in conference play.

After the slow start, Robert Morris generated solid pressure in the second half earning six penalty corners in the second frame. Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) posted four saves in net before being replaced in net at the 56:37 mark by Paige Neat (Louisville, Ky. / Christian Academy), who also picked up a save.

The Colonials return to action at 2:00 p.m. Friday when they return to Joe Walton Stadium to face conference foe Sacred Heart.
