Robert Morris Falls on Senior Day, 3-1, to Quinnipiac

Box Score MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Robert Morris University field hockey team dropped its home finale Sunday falling to conference rival Quinnipiac, 3-1.

The Colonials took a first half lead thanks to a goal from Chantele Crow (Dauphin, Pa. / Central Dauphin). Erica Musson (Columbus, Ohio / Liberty) created the goal on a counter attack. Musson picked up a pass on the sideline and took off down the field and she found Crow on an excellent cross to give the Colonials a 1-0, which they carried into halftime.

Quinnipiac showed off some solid pressure on the goal taking 25 shots and getting 21 of them on net. Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) made eight first half saves and recorded 10 stops in the second frame to collect her second best single-game save total of the season with 18 stops.

The Bobcats rallied in the second half getting two goals from Kristin Engelke and one goal from MacKenzie Liptak to pick up the 3-1 win. The Colonials generated some late pressure and total six second-half penalty corners but it was not enough to best the Bobcats.

Robert Morris returns to action at 3:30 p.m. Friday Oct. 29 when the Colonials hit the road to take on instate rival Saint Francis (Pa.).
