Second Half Charge Leads Ohio past Robert Morris, 4-0

Box Score ATHENS, Ohio - The Robert Morris University field hockey team fell to Ohio University Friday afternoon, 4-0, at Pruitt Field in Athens, Ohio.

Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) recorded 10 saves but it was not enough to power the Colonials past Ohio, who scored once in the first half and three times in the second frame to earn the win. Ally McGuire (Duncannon, Pa. / Susquenita) led the offensive attack for Robert Morris with two shots on goal.

Brooke Edwards gave Ohio the early lead with a first-half goal nine minutes into the game. Both the Bobcats and the Colonials recorded four saves in the first half but Ohio held the advantage in total shots 9-5 after the first frame.

Ohio stepped up its offensive attack in the second half registering 17 second-half shots and recorded three second-frame scores. The Bobcats also clamped down defensively in the second stanza allowing only one second half Colonial shot.   

Roberts Morris returns to action at noon Tuesday against Georgetown, the games marks the midway point of the Colonials five game road swing.
