Colonials Fall to Ball State, 5-0

Box Score Muncie, Ind. - Robert Morris University field hockey suffered its second loss of the season Friday falling to Ball State, 5-0.

Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) posted eight saves for the Colonials with seven coming in the first half. At the intermission, Robert Morris trailed 1-0 but two quick second half goals dash hopes of comeback Ball State's Brandi Mixell scored twice in the second stanza to lead the Cardinals to the win. The Ball State defense stymied Robert Morris in the first half holding them without a shot on net. The Colonials stepped up their offensive attack in the second half firing three shot on net but none could slip past Ball State goalkeeper, Morgan Hammer.

Robert Morris takes on St. Louis Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in a neutral site contest on the campus of Ball State. Both the Billikens and Colonials enter Saturday's game with 0-2 records.
