The Colonials would pick up a sixth goal as assistant captain Tyler Hinds (Orleans, Ontario / Nepean Raiders) would score his second goal of the season at the 15:52 mark of the period. Hinds' goal would come after Robert Morris worked the puck along the blue line with sophomore Scott Jacklin (Kimberley, British Columbia / Trail Smoke Eaters) and Blazek picking up assists on the goal.
Senior goaltender Eric Levine (Wheeling, Ill. / Pembroke Lumber Kings) would record 48 saves for his third career shutout and second this season. The victory improves Levine to 5-0-2 in his last seven starts while the Colonials are currently on a six-game unbeaten streak. The top line of Wydo, Friedmann, and Brace would combine for three goals and five points in the contest. With a goal and an assist in the victory, Brace now assumes the team lead in points with fourteen (six goals, eight assists). Renwick's two assists added up to the defenseman's first career multi-point game. Hinds' goal in the third period was the first time in the assistant captain's career that he had recorded a goal in consecutive games.
