Lewisburg, Pa. - In its final tuneup for the 2012 Northeast Conference championships this weekend, the Robert Morris University women's tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a 6-1 setback at Bucknell.
RMU slips to 6-14 overall on the 2011-12 season with the defeat.
Picking up the lone singles victory for the Colonials was junior Carla Limon (Cordoba, Mexico), who posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Christie Schneider at the No. 3 singles flight.
Limon also teamed with sophomore Carolina Mourao-Teixeira (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) for an 8-6 win at the No. 1 doubles flight over Elena Vidrascu and Daria Tuzhikova.
RMU now gears up for the NEC Championships, which will take place this weekend at the Mercy County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J.
