The Robert Morris University field hockey team will open up the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) part of their schedule this Sunday when they travel to Lawrenceville, N.J. to compete against Rider. 
 
History vs. Rider
RMU is 1-8 against the Broncs. The most recent meeting was last season in Moon Township, Pa. when Rider pulled out a 5-4 win in overtime.
 
In Case You Missed It
This past Saturday, the Colonials traveled to Radford, Va. for their non-conference finale, losing to 2-1 to Radford. Sophomore Jess Martin-Brown (Mount Gambrier, Australia / University of Adelaide) registered the only RMU goal in the second half after the Highlanders tallied both of their goals in the first half.

• Freshman Chloe McIlwaine (Belfast, Ireland / Northumbria University) has a team-high of 17 points on the season thus far.
• McIlwaine and Martin-Brown are tied with eight goals on the season.
• Junior Jamie Hartley (Tamworth, Australia / University of Newcastle) has registered seven assists this season, which leads the team.
• The Colonials are outscoring their opponents in the second half, 17-6.
• RMU is looking for a record-tying eighth win this weekend.

 
Coming Up
The Colonials will continue MAAC play next weekend when they travel to Hamden, Conn. on Oct. 18 to face Quinnipiac at 3 p.m. and then take on Scared Heart in Fairfield, Conn. at noon on Oct. 20.
