Hopewell Township, Pa. / The Club at Shadow Lakes – Robert Morris University men's golf sophomore
Garrett Browning (Imperial, Pa. / West Allegheny) carded a one-under par before defeating Shane Crampton of Saint Francis in a playoff to take the title at the 2013 RMU Colonial Classic. The Colonials finished second behind Saint Francis University on the 6,570-yard par-72 layout at The Club at Shadow Lakes in Hopewell Township, Pa.
Browning opened the event with a 75 before recovering Tuesday for a one-under par 71. That put him into a tie with Crampton, who had the same scores, but on opposite days. Playing the par-four ninth hole, Browning had a par while Crampton bogeyed. The result was Browning's second tournament title in three tries this fall.

Robert Morris finished second overall with a 608 team total. Point Park was third (622) followed by Notre Dame (Ohio) (642), Robert Morris Club team (676) and Maryland Eastern Shore (677).

Junior
Santiago Mejia (Bogota, Colombia / Blessed Hope) came in third. He shared the first round lead with a one-under par 71 before coming home with a 76 for a 147 total. He now has two top-10 finishes in three events.

Dean Hitt (Jackson, Mich. / Lumen Christi) took 11
th with rounds of 77 and 76 to finish with a 153. Junior
Ryan Prokay (Grove City, Pa. / Grove City) was 19
th (82-81=163) while junior
Matt Gurska (Hermitage, Pa. / Kennedy Catholic) was tied for 20
th (81-83=164).

Dan Maier (Irwin, Pa. / Penn Trafford) and freshman
Mac Cavanaugh (West Newbury, Mass. / Pentucket Regional) took 18
th and 12
th. Maier posted rounds of 79-81 for a 160 while Cavanaugh posted a second round 74 to go with an opening 82 for a 156 total.
